• On July 8, 2011, SALMON was amended to establish a new program element appendix as Appendix H8, SOFIA Second Generation Instrument Investigations. • On November 1, 2010, SALMON was amended to establish a new program element appendix as Appendix H7, Explorer 2011 Science Missions of Opportunity. • On January 15, 2010, SALMON was amended to establish a new program element appendix as Appendix H6, ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter Instruments Investigations. This program element appendix solicits Principal Investigator (PI)-led instrument science investigations for the joint ESA-NASA ExoMars 2016 Orbiter mission. • On October 26, 2009, the SALMON AO was clarified to reflect the NSPIRES revision that requires all proposal team members to commit to the proposal through NSPIRES. Revised instructions for proposal team member commitment through NSPIRES are provided in Appendix B, Section IV, of the SALMON AO.
• SALMON is an omnibus NASA Announcement of Opportunity. It references 5 different proposal opportunities. The document 'Complete SALMON AO' describes the common requirements for all SALMON proposal opportunities, including those outlined in the common Appendices A-G. It also includes as separate Appendix H documents each of the opportunities. Bookmarks within the document can help in navigation. Proposers interested in a single proposal opportunity may find the home page for that proposal opportunity by following the links found in the "Program Elements" link above. Note that once a specific opportunity has closed, it can be found directly on the "Closed Opportunities" part of this web site. Any amendments to the SALMON AO, including those to specific opportunities or the possible addition of new opportunities may be found by opening 'Amendments'. All documents are kept up to date and incorporate amendments in a clearly identifiable manner.
