• The NUSTAR - Cycle 5 program is NOT soliciting new proposals. Only those Principal Investigators who have been accepted for observations and who have received a request for budget information should submit a Phase-2 proposal in accordance with the instructions in that letter. No other submissions will be considered.
• February 19, 2019. In Section 1.1 of D.10 NuSTAR Cycle 5, the nominal start date and duration of the fifth round of Guest Observations have been updated. New text is in bold and deleted text is struck through.
• NOTICE: Amended January 31, 2019. The proposal due dates for this program element were previously temporarily changed to "TBD" as a result of the partial government shutdown. This amendment releases new due dates for the effected program elements in Appendix D. For this program element Phase-1 proposals are now due (via ARK RPS) at 4:30 pm March 29, 2019.
• November 20, 2018. D.10 NuSTAR Cycle 5 has been changed. Section 1.3.1 has been updated to clarify what can be proposed for joint NICER/NuSTAR Target of Opportunity observations and Section 1.3.3 has also been updated for consistency. New Text is in bold and deleted text is struck through. The due date remains unchanged.
• Amended October 11, 2018. This Amendment announces a change in due date for this program element. Also, the word coordinated has been replaced with the word 'joint' in the notice on the NSPIRES page for this program element.
• Amended October 5, 2018. This Amendment announces a total text replacement for this program element. Major changes include: New statements that this solicitation is dependent on the results of the upcoming 2019 Senior Review, a call for 'Large Programs' (> 500 ks) has been added, and joint observations with NICER are now included. In addition, many small changes have been made throughout. Please read the text carefully. The due date remains unchanged.
• The description of the specific proposal opportunity on this page is contained in the document 'D.10 NuSTAR Cycle 5'. The document 'D.1 Astrophysics Research Program Overview' describes research activities within the NASA science division that is managing the specific proposal opportunity on this page and may impose requirements upon proposals submitted to this program element. The document 'Summary of Solicitation' describes the common requirements for all ROSES-2018 proposal opportunities. The documents 'Table 2' and 'Table 3' contain the list of all proposal opportunities and their due dates. All of these documents are kept up to date and incorporate amendments, clarifications, and corrections in a clearly identifiable manner.
