  • NOTICE: March 13, 2019. This program element, Remote Sensing Theory for Earth Science, has received more than 150 NOIs to date. The previously estimated budget of $2 million for approximately 12 to 15 selected projects remains unchanged. If the NOIs received correctly predict the number of proposals that will be submitted, the expected selection rate for submitted proposals to this program element will be about 8% to 10%.
  • NOTICE: Amended January 31, 2019. The proposal due dates for this program element were previously temporarily changed to "TBD" as a result of the partial government shutdown. This amendment releases new due dates for the effected program elements in Appendix A. For this program element, Notices of Intent are still requested by February 28, 2019 (that has not changed) but the due date for proposals is now April 2, 2019.
  • NOTICE: December 18, 2018. This amendment presents a new program element in ROSES-2018. Please note that participants on submitted proposals will be asked to provide external (mail-in) reviews of competing proposals (see Section 2).
  • The description of the specific proposal opportunity on this page is contained in the document 'A.47 Remote Sensing Theory for Earth Science'. The document 'A.1 Earth Science Research Overview' describes research activities within the NASA science division that is managing the specific proposal opportunity on this page and may impose requirements upon proposals submitted to this program element. The document 'Summary of Solicitation' describes the common requirements for all ROSES-2018 proposal opportunities. The documents 'Table 2' and 'Table 3' contain the list of all proposal opportunities and their due dates. All of these documents are kept up to date and incorporate amendments, clarifications, and corrections in a clearly identifiable manner.
