  • NOTICE: Amended January 22, 2025. This amendment extends the due date for proposals to February 26, 2025. Several other updates have also been made: the review criteria in Sections 5.2.1 and 5.2.3 have been corrected, Section 4.1.6 has been clarified regarding biosketches for any mentor who is not the PI, the High End Computing textbox at the very end of Section 4.2 has been updated, and Section 12.28 "How do I generate a request for HEC Resources" explains changes to account creation and management. The checklist in Section 10 has also been updated.

  • December 20, 2024. F.5 Future Investigators in NASA Earth and Space Science and Technology (FINESST) has been updated in several ways: Text in Sections 2.3 and 2.6 were moved for clarity, no changes to requirements or scope. clarifying language related to SMD citizen science was added to Section 2.6. A link to a NASA video on Biographical Sketches and Current and Pending Requirements was added to Section 4.1.6, and a sentence about the opportunity provide a revised budget was added to Section 4.1.10. In Section 12.14 budget instructions were clarified. New text is in bold and deleted text is struck through. The Due date is unchanged: Proposals are due February 5, 2025.   • December 2, 2024. Several corrections and clarifications have been made to F.5 Future Investigators in NASA Earth and Space Science and Technology (FINESST) in Sections 4, 4.2, 5.1, 5.2.2, and 10. New text is in bold and deleted text is struck through. The proposal due date remains unchanged: Proposals are due February 5, 2025. An optional, pre-proposal web conference will occur on December 6, 2024, 3:00 PM Eastern Time, see Section 12.11. The Earth Science Division will hold optional office hours December 17, 2024, and January 22, 2025, via Teams, see Section 2.1.
  • NOTICE: Amended November 5, 2024. This Amendment releases the final text for this program that solicits graduate student research, which had been listed as "TBD". Submissions must be formatted for Dual Anonymous Peer Review, see Section 4.2. Notices of Intent are not requested/accepted. Proposals are due February 5, 2025. An optional, pre-proposal teleconference will occur on December 6, 2024, 3:00 PM Eastern Time, see Section 12.11 for connect information.   • NOTICE: This program element is expected to solicit proposals this year, but final details and dates are not yet determined (i.e., this is shown as 'TBD' in Tables 2 and 3). The 'close date' of 02/14/2025 advertised above is not a proposal due date. When final dates are established, this program element will be amended, full information will be provided in a revised solicitation document, posted above, and the close date will be changed to reflect the proposal due date.
