  • The IXPE General Observer - Cycle 2 program is NOT soliciting new proposals. Only those Principal Investigators who have been accepted for observations and who have received a request for budget information should submit a proposal in accordance with the instructions in that letter. No other submissions will be considered.
  • NOTICE: Amended May 13, 2024. This Amendment makes two significant changes: first an update to the ToO policy allowing for GO requests of ToO with unknown coordinates in Section 1.3.2 and Section 1.3.4, which has been renamed; second, information on new joint programs with Swift and NuSTAR has been added in Sections 1.1 and 1.3. Other small updates have also been made to Sections 1.3.5, 2.1 and 2.3. New text is in bold and deleted text is struck through. The due date remains unchanged: Phase-1 proposals (via ARK RPS) are due August 29, 2024. Phase-1 proposals will be evaluated using a dual-anonymous peer review process. See Section 2.2.2 and in the associated "Guidelines for Anonymous Proposals" document. Due to the nature of the proposed investigations proposals need not include an "Open Science and Data Management Plan".
  • The description of the specific proposal opportunity on this page is contained in the document 'D.16 IXPE General Observer - Cycle 2'. The document 'D.1 Astrophysics Research Program Overview' describes research activities within the NASA science division that is managing the specific proposal opportunity on this page and may impose requirements upon proposals submitted to this program element. The document 'Summary of Solicitation' describes the common requirements for all ROSES-2024 proposal opportunities. The document 'Table 1' contains the proposal check list from the Summary of Solicitation.
