  • Corrected December 19, 2011: The text of Appendix D.3 APRA has been updated to remove mention of the International X-ray Observatory and the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna. Also the names of the Technical Officers for some of the elements have been updated.
  • Amended on November 2, 2011. This Amendment removes from this call the "grand challenge" of the Laboratory Astrophysics portion (see Section 1.2.4). This opportunity is deferred in order to redefine this aspect of the program element in light of increasing data collection in the areas of infrared and submillimeter astronomy. The funding level for Laboratory Astrophysics indicated in the table in section 2.1 of element D.3 remains unchanged. New text is in bold and deleted text is struckthrough. The due date for notices of intent to propose and proposals remain unchanged at January 27, 2012, and March 23, 2012, respectively.
  • Corrected April 8, 2011: The phone number for the point of contact for questions concerning potential CRuSR investigations has been corrected. LK Kubendran can be reached on 202-358-2528.
  • The description of the specific proposal opportunity on this page is contained in the document 'D.3 Astrophysics Research and Enabling Technology'. This document is kept up to date and incorporates amendments in a clearly identifiable manner.
  • ROSES-2011 is an omnibus NASA Research Announcement. It contains over 50 different proposal opportunities. In the "Announcement Documents" section above, the document 'Summary of Solicitation' describes the common requirements for all ROSES-2011 proposal opportunities; all proposers must satisfy the proposal requirements in the 'Summary of Solicitation'. The documents 'Table 2' and 'Table 3' contain the list of all proposal opportunities and their due dates. The document 'D.1 Astrophysics Research Program Overview’ describes research activities within the NASA science division that is managing the specific proposal opportunity on this page. The document 'D.3 Astrophysics Research and Enabling Technology' describes the specific proposal opportunity on this page. All of these documents are kept up to date and incorporate amendments in a clearly identifiable manner.
