  • Amendment 42 on March 16, 2012: Cancellation of preproposal workshop for the Technology Development for the Physics of the Cosmos (TPCOS) science area.
  • Amended on February 24, 2012. This Amendment removes the Technology Development for Exoplanet Missions (TDEM) science area (see Section 2 of Appendix D.8) from this call. This step is taken to accommodate changes in the Exoplanet Exploration Program's planned budget outlined in the President's Fiscal Year 2013 budget request. The next opportunity to propose to the TDEM element of the SAT program will be under the ROSES 2012 NRA. This change does not effect proposals selected previously under the TDEM element of the ROSES-2010 SAT solicitation, which will be funded as planned. This notice does not apply to the Technology Development for Physics of the Cosmos Program (TPCOS) or Technology Development for the Cosmic Origins Program (TCOP) science areas of the program, for which proposals are still solicited. However, the funds available for new starts in those areas will be less than was previously anticipated also to accommodate the changes outlined in the President's fiscal year 2013 budget request.
  • Amended on December 22, 2011. This amendment presents revised text for Appendix D.8 including new priorities for TPCOS in Section 3, and a new POC for TCOP in the Summary Table in Section 6, in addition to many other small changes to the text. New text is in bold and deleted text is struckthrough. The due date for notices of intent to propose and proposals remain unchanged at January 27, 2012, and March 23, 2012, respectively.
  • The description of the specific proposal opportunity on this page is contained in the document 'D.8 Strategic Astrophysics Technology'. This document is kept up to date and incorporates amendments in a clearly identifiable manner.
  • ROSES-2011 is an omnibus NASA Research Announcement. It contains over 50 different proposal opportunities. In the "Announcement Documents" section above, the document 'Summary of Solicitation' describes the common requirements for all ROSES-2011 proposal opportunities; all proposers must satisfy the proposal requirements in the 'Summary of Solicitation'. The documents 'Table 2' and 'Table 3' contain the list of all proposal opportunities and their due dates. The document 'D.1 Astrophysics Research Program Overview’ describes research activities within the NASA science division that is managing the specific proposal opportunity on this page. The document 'D.8 Strategic Astrophysics Technology' describes the specific proposal opportunity on this page. All of these documents are kept up to date and incorporate amendments in a clearly identifiable manner.
