Notices

  • September 16, 2011. The minimum requirement for 3 months of time for Co-Leaders has been removed from Section 2.4.
  • Amended June 30, 2011. This amendment presents the final text for this Appendix, that replaces in its entirety the prior version, which was suspended on May 13, 2011, for reformulation as an L-Band SAR only design to meet reduced budget guidelines and consistent with the President’s budget. The new due date for notices of intent is Monday, July 25, 2011, and the new due date for proposals is Friday, September 23, 2011.
  • Amended on May 13, 2011: The solicitation of the DESDynI Science Definition Team is temporarily suspended pending release of a subsequent amendment, which is expected no later than June 7, 2011. It is anticipated that the proposal due date for the revised call, focused upon an L-Band SAR only mission, will be September 7th. The 2012 President’s budget requires that the DESDynI mission be re-formulated as an L-Band SAR only design, to meet reduced budget guidelines. Therefore, the SDT will be selected from the multidisciplinary science community, but will focus upon the development of an L-Band SAR only mission. The current DESDynI Science Study Group is requested to serve the mission pre-formulation effort only until the SDT for the L-band Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) mission is selected in early 2012.
  • Amended on May 2, 2011. To give time to proposers who are without power because of tornadoes the proposal due date for this program has been changed to Monday, May 16, 2011.
  • The description of the specific proposal opportunity on this page is contained in the document 'A.31 Science Definition Team for the DESDynI Mission'. This document is kept up to date and incorporates amendments in a clearly identifiable manner.
  • ROSES-2011 is an omnibus NASA Research Announcement. It contains over 50 different proposal opportunities.
