  • October 15, 2021. Section 4 of C.26 EnVision VenSAR Science Team has been clarified regarding Data Management Plans and roles, including the fact that only scientists at U.S. institutions will be considered for the roles of Team Leader, U.S. EnVision Mission Scientist, and EnVision SST Membership. New text is in bold, deleted text is struck through. Also, a FAQ has been posted under other documents on the NSPIRES page for this program element with answers to basic questions on e.g., content and criteria. The due dates remain unchanged; Notices of Intent to propose are requested by November 19, 2021, and proposals are due January 20, 2022.
  • NOTICE: Amended October 1, 2021. This amendment releases the final text and due dates for this program element, which was previously released as draft for community comment. Notices of Intent to propose are requested by November 19, 2021, and 5-page proposals are due January 20, 2022. The major changes since the draft was published are as follows: 1) The EnVision Mission has now been selected by ESA. 2) The total amount available for awards has been reduced from $1M to $750K. 3) The total number of expected awards to U.S. PIs has been increased to 10 from 7. 4) There have been minor clarifications and changes to the Scope of Program, including expected roles of VeST team members and recognition that team member contributions may vary widely in size and scope. 5) There are new options for VenSAR team members to request consideration for roles on the EnVision Mission’s Science Study Team, including a leadership role. International participation has been clarified, and this ROSES element is only open to scientists based at U.S. Institutions and ESA-member states.
